Amazon Fire phone, Everything you need to know
Amazon has finally announced its Smartphone named Fire Phone after so many rumors. With the entry of Fire Phone Amazon marked a line in smartphone market.
Amazon Fire Phone is an AT&T exclusive smartphone, which has been priced at $199 on two-year contract basis. Amazon Fire Phone comes with a 4.7-inch 1280×720 display, powered by a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB RAM, 13MP OIS rear camera and 32GB of Internal Storage. The device runs Amazon’s very own Fire Operating System.
Fire phone’s features are quite impressive like MayDay, Firefly, and Dynamic Perspective 3D features. It comes with Gorilla Glass display with a rubberized frame and has a total of 4 cameras, yes 4 CAMERAS in front.
Super Impressive Spec
We can’t find nothing new in design wise, a typical looking smartphone with added curves. Both front and back side comes with a Gorilla glass, quite impressive! On front there’s a set of stereo speakers that are better than your average phone.
There’s a 13-megapixel camera, an f/2.0 lens, and optical image stabilization. Users can take panorama, burst, and action shots, too. Amazon will also offer unlimited photo storage, so users can take as many pictures as they want without worrying about storage constraints. Fire Phone utilizes four front-facing cameras to track position, which allows for things like automatic notification drawers and unique visual element, depending on the situation.
Every camera is equipped with an infrared light so the Fire Phone’s 3D effect should work even in low-light conditions.
The Fire Phone comes with your choice of 32 or 64GB of storage, in addition to 5GB of extra free space via the Amazon Cloud Drive. The device also has Near-Field Communication (NFC), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and 4G LTE connectivity. Amazon says that the 2,400mAh battery will last up to 11 hours during video playback and 22 hours of talk time.
To create the 3D-like effect on screen, the phone uses four front-facing cameras. When you move the phone slightly to the left or even closer to the screen, the dimension and perspective slightly changes. See how it works…
It runs on Fire OS – a fork of Android. Firefly is a great new feature that helps you find the products and objects you encounter in the real world, online. The ultimate show-rooming tool, the feature uses the camera on the front of the Fire Phone to recognize books, DVDs, phone numbers, QR codes, CDs, games, and all other kinds of media. Amazon Fire Phone has a dedicated button for the Firefly.
Also it has a new 3D interface called Dynamic Perspective, which is somewhat new. When you tilt the screen you will get options for controlling the apps that means you don’t need to touch.
