Asus Zenfone 2 with Intel Atom Processor and 4GB Ram
Asus has launched the second iteration of its ZenFone series, unveiling the ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML), its new flagship smartphone at CES 2015 in Las Vegas.
The phone comes with a new ergonomic design, a 5.5-inch Full HD and a (1280x1920p) IPS display with a wide 178-degree viewing angle. Asus claims its TruVivid technology enhances display performance more with brighter colors. The display has a narrow 3.3mm bezel, giving ZenFone 2 a 72% screen-to-body ratio, and is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The new Zenfone 2 is a lot better than the previous Zenfone series smartphones. It packs 5.5-inch of Full HD IPS display screen, along with 13MP rear-facing camera and powered by a 2.3GHz 64-bit Intel Atom processor with 4GB of RAM. As you can see, the Zenfone is the world’s first smartphone with 4G of RAM, offering awesome performance. The company has also unveiled new User Interface in this device, allowing users to easily customize the Operating System with icons and colors.
ZenFone 2 comes with a 13 MP PixelMaster camera and an f/2.0 aperture lens to capture stunning, high-resolution photos with zero shutter lag. This industry-leading low-light mode employs pixel-merging technology to capture up to 400% brighter photos at night, or in low-light scenes, without the need for a flash. When a flash is preferred, ZenFone 2 is equipped with a Real Tone Flash to ensure warm skin tones and accurate color.
The Zenfone 2 will cost from $199 when it goes on sale in March. A cheaper, lesser specced version with a 720p display is also going to be available, but the Zenfone 2 looks to be a reasonably well priced device all told.
