HTC One with Nexus User Experience coming on June 26
HTC just announced a special version of its popular smartphone HTC One with a “Nexus user experience” — which means phone will come with stock Android rather than HTC’s Sense 5. The new One will be available on the Google Play store for $599 starting June 26. Recently Samsung also announced Nexus version of Galaxy S4 in Google I/O 2013.
This One model comes with 32GB of storage and runs Android 4.2.2, while existing models are currently running Android 4.1.2. It will also receive Android updates directly from Google — so you’ll get updates months ahead of other HTC One owners.
This exceptional edition device, priced at $599, will be accessible in the United States (firstly) and supported on GSM networks. Out of the box, this special edition HTC One will run Android 4.2.2.
The handset will feature an unlocked SIM card slot, an unlocked bootloader, and support for various cellular bands of HSPA, WCDMA, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, and vaunted LTE 4G.HTC also offers a SIM unlocked One model for $599 and a special Developer Edition with 64GB of storage for $649.
