Xiaomi Redmi 1S launched in India for Rs.6,999

Xiaomi, the Chinese giant relatively new to Indian market launched a series of smartphones including Xiaomi Mi3. They also eyed on entry level smartphone market with launch of Xiaomi Redmi 1S. Its sure that Redmi 1S is tough competitor for Moto E.

Redmi 1S featuring 4.7-inch 720p IPS display and is powered by a 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core SoC, paired with Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. Also included is 4GB of internal storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card slot.

The camera dipartment is quite good for this price. It comes with a 8MP  wide angle rear camera with flash and on the front side it has a 1.6MP camera. The rear camera is capable of 1080p HD video recording.

The Redmi 1s runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with the MIUI skin on top. On the connectivity front, there’s Dual SIM, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and GPS. A 2000mAh battery power up the device perfectly for a day.

For Rs.6,999 Xiaomi Redmi 1S is far far better than any phone in this range.
